Critique Workshop Lead
transfeminine only
We’re looking for a transfeminine poet/author or poetry/prose editor to lead a transfeminine only critique workshop in late Summer 2026, alongside kith crit: cohort two. This position and workshop are part of a concerted effort to close the access gap for transfeminine writers with the ultimate goal of seeding the community with confident, accomplished women (inclusive) who will carry their stories out into the world. As a disability focused press, our workshops are adaptive and a successful candidate will be open to meeting all workshop participants how and where they need.
This is a mentorship opportunity. Our ideal candidate may well be a poet or writer who has never led a workshop before. kith is, as ever, a skill share endeavor; there will be plenty of opportunity to collaborate, shadow, and run things by wim. Cohort selection, workshop structure, and the broader aims of the project will be finalized by the candidate, with wim acting as sounding board, admin, and tandem lead peer.
Who: Transfeminine poet, author, editor looking to help build a welcoming, collaborative, and rigorous lit space for transfeminine writers and poets of all experience levels.
Where: Fully remote. Candidates must not be in Canada/US. Non native English speakers are encouraged to apply.
Why: You’re excited about lifting transfeminine writers and could stand to pocket $100USD/week.
When: Negotiable! Late Summer preferred. The position will entail two hours of remote (zoom) workshop and two(-ish) hours of prep work a week for eight weeks. Workshop timing will be determined by participant and workshop lead availability.
How: send an email to wim@kithbooks.com stating your interest in the project. No resume, availability, or personal qualifications or caveats are required. Let us know you’re interested and we’ll set up a call.
