MAYBE JUST THIS - BONES
lately, I've been trying very hard not to start my poems the same way I always do-
this is what it feels like
this is what it looks like-
this is how-
envy in the form of four years of screaming
MAYBE JUST THIS from Bones is a reflection, a refraction—a dissection of selfhood and memory and generational unhealth. For the TransMad and unholy, these poems tread the path of unlearning and relearning we know so well. What of nature and nurture, what of family and frailty, both lost and found. At times defeated and at others defiant, MAYBE JUST THIS mines the past with eyes on the future, the present, a way to rebuild without denying the grief.
This title is also available in PRINT
Digital download includes a scrollable page by page rendering of the print version and a booklet file formatted to print into a fold and print version perfect for sharing (no shame or blame, our goal is more books out in the world) or tucking away in a bag, pile, or pocket, until it’s just the right time.
